The restaurant is behind Sweeney's. Atmosphere is typical diner. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

After spending the last week eating in sub par to terrible (Breakfast Nook?) Breakfast places, I found the best breakfast in Wakefield/South Kingstown. The food was well cooked, it was very flavorful, and it was reasonably priced. In addition to great food at a good price, Nancy was one of the best wait staff I have ever had!!! This place is excellent!!!

Never fails to disappoint, the staff is always very nice and the food is always absolutely delicious! Inside is cozy and there are booths, tables, and a bar area. Good prices for what you are getting, and a wide variety too! I keep coming back again and again; for a couple years now it has been my favorite.

Great diner atmosphere excellent omlets I think two eggs perfect size with toast and home fries like $6 took home half and had more tomorrow.

Breakfast was good and quick. Plenty of parking.

The waitress and customers were very friendly. Definitely a cozy, homey feeling. Prices were average for a breakfast. The food was served within minutes of ordering and was okay. Had the basic eggs, bacon, homefries and toast. The over easy eggs were perfect. The homefries and bacon were a little under cooked. Coffee was good. We were there for the 6am opening on a Saturday.

Not impressed at all ordered over easy yolks hard replacement eggs yup hard hash is good though.omelets uncooked peppers amd onion and didn't put in tomatoes as ordered. Told the waitresses she said and walked away. Buh bye

Your typical small-town diner with greasy food but large portions served by friendly staff. Your typical breakfast and lunch fare alongside daily specials. Great for a low-pressure informal breakfast or lunch with comfort food.

Meldgie's is our reliable breakfast location and is typically not so busy that a wait to be seated is required. The service is always quick, attentive and friendly. We like the fact that they serve local eggs on the breakfast menu...if you enjoy the local farms, you need to give them the business or they turn into a shopping plaza! The food itself is no frills but tasty and served in short order. Don't forget to consider the lengthy daily specials menu when you visit.

Awesome spot for lunch! The food is so fresh and delicious. Had a great patty melt with a beautiful salad and a delicious grilled ham and cheese on wonderful wheat bread!

The most horrifying experience. They are loyal to their older, rude customers, one of whom got in my son's face because he was singing. Not a kid friendly place because of the other customers that come in the mornings, but the waitress tried hard to make it easier to deal with the others.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Very local and friendly place with great food. They always have new specials for breakfast and lunch.

It was a delicious breakfast omelet shared with Cathy. Spinach cheese & tomato with cranberry nut toast and onion & garlic home fries. We shared one. They served it on 2 plates. We enjoyed it's wonderful taste and the great service. No waiting either.

Great spot for a cozy and quick breakfast right in the heart of Wakefield. I usually go to the Point Judith location but they're all fabulous. Diner style...REAL HOMEFRIES!!! and the Italian sausage is awesome

Meldgies isn't a diner, but it could be. There are three in our area that we've been tfor breakfast, and they are all consistently good, having the same menu items. There is a nice selection of breakfast combos, or you can order ala carte. They use Johnny Cakes in several of their combos, which is something unusual, but delicious. My wife always gets something with them. I get anything with their sausages. Their prices are extremely reasonable.

I really like this diner. It has all the ups and downs you'd expect in a diner. Great, traditional diner atmosphere, not great coffee, great hash browns, generic french fries (hint: sub for the home made potato chips). The regular menu is what you'd expect but the specials can be quite unusual and delicious.
